Dear customers and friends

Many of you may know that I have been through a terrible time since September, two major operations and almost dying during both and then some time in an induced coma.

It has been a long struggle to try and get back to normal, and whilst life is not back to normal and probably won’t be , things are improving.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Peter Duckers and Mike Veissid and their wives for their assistance in keeping DCM Medals functioning, processing orders and dealing with our clients. Without their assistance and patience we could not have kept going, and for this I am eternally grateful.

I also wish to thank my wife for her unending support and patience during all of this, especially for when I managed to get home, following which I have struggled with mobility and she has had to nurse me back to health.

I also wish to thank my clients and friends for their continued support and patience with things not quite operating as I would wish, I could not do this without you, and I hope to start seeing many of you again soon.

But now I have had to consider how best to move forward with DCM.

After much consideration I have decided to close the retail shop in the Parade Shopping Centre, but please don’t think of this as bad news.  I will be setting up an office from where I will continue to run DCM, and perhaps be able to spend more time hunting down new items for the website, which I also plan to spend more time developing and improving.

I have greatly missed attending the various medal fairs around the county, especially those run by Mark Carter and Andy Dukes.  I will return to having a table at these as soon as I can, I will visit Stratford fair on the 19th March, but will not have a table, I am really look forward to meeting some of you then.

I have booked to attend the Britannia medal fair, which will be my first fair I will be standing, please be gentle with me !!!

The last day the shop is open is Monday 13th March 2023.

I do still have good and bad days with my health, so if I don’t answer I am probably feeling quite ill, but do leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
