1914 Star, with clasp (MS-3871 Pte C. E. Appleford. A.S.C.), British War and Victory Medals (MS-3871 Pte. C. E. Appleford. A.S.C.), pitting to second, otherwise good very fine (3)

Claude Elliot Appleford was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire  in 1888 and enlisted in August 1914. serving until June 1919

Landed France 8th October 1914 serving at the 3rd Cavalry Ammunition Park during 1914. He served in the Expeditionary force to France from 29th September 1914 to 27th January 1915 then again from 19th February 1916 , the time between being spent on service at home. He is also recorded as having served in No 2 Motor repair units, and R.A.S.C. Motor Transport

He is recorded several times as absent without leave.
