William George McPherson was born 21st November 1872 in St Pancras, London.
He has pre WW1 service serving with 34th Battery, 38th Brigade R.F.A. time expired 28th July 1913. There is a 31161 Gunner W.G.McPherson who received a Boer War medal (We have not proved if this is the same man)
He re-enlists on the 1st September 1914 at Bradford aged 41. Working as a lift attendant.He served in various battery’s inc 129 Bty RFA, and 30 Bde Ammunition column, later in the Labour corps.
Landed France 14th September 1914 and is entitled to the clasp to his 1914 star
After the War he lived in Bradford and later in Pudsey, Yorkshire.
