1914 trio to North Somerset Yeomanry
1914 Star (165128 S. S. Cpl. F. Cutts 1/1 N. Som. Yeo. on Star; 598 Cpl. on Pair)
MIC and Rolls confirm the two numbers.
Born in Penge, posted for duty at Bath, 7th Aug. 1914 at age of 31; entered theatre of war 2-11-14 : no claim for dated clasp recorded in rolls.
With copied rolls and some papers – largely to do with medical discharge following fracture to leg whilst leading horses at Manicourt in October 1918; to hospital Nov. 1918 as a result and discharge to Z Reserve Feb. 1919.
Shoeing Smith, latterly (8th April 1918) attached to 3rd Dragoon Gds. from NSY – this is in accord with the regiment’s history; one squadron of the NSY was sent to each of the 1st Dgns., 3rd DG. and 10th Hussars in April 1918.
GVF+ on original ribbons – the Star ribbon rather dirty.
