Born in Dulwich in 1777; HEIC Cadet in 1798.
Lieut., 1.1.1800; Captain 20.8.1807; Major 10.10.1818 and Lt. Col. 1.5.1824.
Invalided in India in Dec. 1829 and returned to UK in 1831.
Latterly lived with wife at Sunbury, Middx., and died there in 1853.
His wife died in Torquay in 1860.
Rare – this high rank seldom seen on Army of India.
