Six Boer War Commemorative silver spoons.
A very attractive set of six silver teaspoons commemorating the Boer War, featuring Kipling’s “Gentleman in Khaki Ordered South” – the familiar military figure which was used on so many Boer War commemoratives – below the word “Justice” and with “Souvenir” on the stems.
We have not seen another set of this exact type before, nor can we find one online.
Clear hallmarks for London 1899-1900.
In original fitted box, in very nice condition; the spoons do not look to have been used.
