With copied papers – born Assington, Sudbury, Suffolk and enlisted into RHA ex Royal Fusiliers Militia, in 1899 and posted to Maxims in 1900.
After discharge in Oct. 1902, worked as a Gardener in Assinton.
Recipient was killed in action in May 1917 serving with 6th Queen’s (Royal West Surrey) Regt. and is commem. on the Arras Memorial.
