James Armstrong – born 1857 and served as Engineer in various ranks on a variety of ships from Sept. 1878 to 1902; Chief Engineer 1892; Staff Engineer 1896 and ended as Fleet Engineer (1897-1902). Over 24 years’ service.
Retired in 1902 and died in 1927.
In really nice condition with hardly any contacting; on original wearing pin but ribbons now very frail.
