Edward Lynham born 9th May 1894 Hampstead London and enlisted in Kensington.
Educated at Netherwood Street School, Camden
Military Medal – London Gazette 7th October 1918 ( which covers awards from April / May to first week of June 1918) mainly for minor actions, trench raids etc.)
Died 10th November 1918 of Bronchitis (Possibly this could have actually been the “Spanish Flu” ) and is buried in St Pol-Our-Ternoise cemetery
It should be noted that there is a man of the same name who served in the Royal Navy born in Kilburn who we believe to be the same manas he served in the Navy from October 1910 to May 1912, who from his service record did not enjoy life in the Navy as he “Ran” several times and was convicted of shop breaking and Larceny during his time AOL.
