1939-45 Star; Atlantic Star; 1939-45 War medal; Minister of Transport Issue slip confirming these three medals, all in a box of issue addressed to Mr John P McManus , Tranmere, Birkenhead.
Joseph McManus was born on the 1st May 1879 in Birkenhead, he appears on the 1901 census living on Brook Street, Birkenhead, then in 1939 living onCrown Street Birkenhead, with his wife and son, he is noted as working at a Sub station, but notes previously served in the Mercantile Navy.
