Military General Service, 1793-1814, single clasp, Corunna : George Bolton, Lieut 14th Foot

Major George Bolton joined the 14th (Bedfordshire) Foot as a Lieutenant on 26 May 1807, and served with this regiment in Spain between October 1808 and January 1809 (landed with Baird’s force), taking part in the retreat to Corunna and playing a distinguished part in the battle.

The regt. later redesignated as the 14th (Buckinghamshire) Foot in 1809, he also served in the Walcheren campaign of the same year.
