Please note there is a Lieut J.M. Scott in the Royal Field Artillery who was killed during WW1, who is not same man.
John Mailler Scott attended Dunfermline High School and is on their roll of honour, which contains the following details and the photograph of him.
“Scott. John Mailler. Lieut., R.G.A. Was in Volunteers and Territorial service for 13 years before the War, Mobilised August 1914, Gazetted January 1917. France April 1917, La Bassee Sector. Invalided June 1917. The Son of Mr D.M. Scott, formerly Schoolmaster Inverkeithing.”
We have also found a Lieut J.M. Scott who served during WW2 in the Artillery, we have not been able to prove this is the same man, requires further research.
