British War and Victory Medals (16180 Pte. W. Hall. R. Fus.); France, Third Republic, Croix de Guerre, bronze, reverse dated 1914-1918,

William Hall attested for the Royal Fusiliers and served with the 3rd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 23 February 1915 (also entitled to a 1914-15 Star).
He served on attachment with the 85th Trench Mortar Battery, before transferring with the new Regimental number L-17560 to the 3rd Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, and served with them as part of the North Russia Expeditionary Force. His French Croix de Guerre is unconfirmed.

With MIC and medal rolls confirming service in the Russian Expeditionary Force.
