Second Afghan War, 2 clasps – 2nd 60th Foot.
Afghanistan 1878-9-80, clasps Ahmed Khel, Kandahar, 60/906 Pte. C, Mack, 2/60th Foot.
Cornelius Mack was born in the Parish of St George the Martyr, Holborn, London in 1858.
He enlisted on the 26th July 1876 , joining the 1st Battalion 60th Rifles on the 28th July 1876 at Winchester. He was transferred to the Army Reserve on the 2nd February 1883, his address on discharge (26th July 1888) being in Lime Street, Clerkenwell.
His service papers confirm his medal and both clasps, plus entitlement to the Kabul to Kandahar Star.
Condition – GVF, light pitting and some edge bruises.
