Ernest George Denyer is confirmed as entitled to a pair only on his MIC and the medal roll shows he was serving in the 10th battalion.
His service papers show he was born in 1877 in Ipswich, Suffolk. employed as a commercial traveller before the war, he enlisted in 1915 aged 38, he was serving in the 3rd battalion when he landed at Le Harve in November 1917, and immediately was posted to the 10th battalion.
