WW1 pair and Plaque to the Hood Battalion RNVR.

Philip Henry Hill was born on the 9th April 1898 at Castle cary, Somerset.
He served from March 1917, being drafted to the Hood Battalion from the 18th May 1917. joining them on the 15th June 1917.
On the 1st September 1917 he is noted as died of wounds. Gunshot wounds to both legs, compound fracture to skull, and abrasions to abdomen.
Given the date we believe this was during the Second Battle of Passchendaele
