Description

A Good WW1, Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919 and WW2 group – Royal Army Medical Corps.

British War and Victory Medals, 89948 A. Sjt. G.A. King. R.A.M.C. ; India General Service 1908 (Geo V) clasp, Afghanistan, N.W.F. 1919, 89948 Sgt  G.A. King. R.A.M.C.; Defence Medal; Civil Defence Long Service Medal(British reverse) With a ribbon bar with all these medals on it.

Charles Archibald King

HIs MIC confirms his entitlement to a pair, plus his I.G.S. NEW 1919.

The Medal roll for his I.G.S> shows he served in Peshawar, Karachi, and Bombay. The roll also stated “Discharged 31st March 1920.”

We have no proof of his service beyond 1920, but the ribbon bar does contain all these medals, deserves in-depth research.

The above records are available on Ancestry.
