Father:

Arthur Deacon was from Richard Street, Leicester and was married to Beatrice Ellen Deacon. He served in the 2nd Battalion Leicestershire Regiment earning a pair for his first world war services.  He died on the 25th February 1923.

Son:

Arthur Bernard Deacon was born on the 25th January 1902 in Leicester.

He served on HMS Covenrty from 23rd August 1939 to 7th March 1940.

HMS Excellent 7th March 1940 to 29th May 1940.

HMS Alvis 29th May 1940 to 20 January 1941 (An Anti Submarine Trawler)

Europa 20th January 1941 to 17th March 1941

HMS Victory 17th March 1941 to 1st April 1941

HMS President 3 from 1st April 1941 1st May 1943

He received his R.F>R. Long Service and Good Conduct on he 9th September 1938
