William Albert Henry Norris was born on the 24th May 1895, Lambeth, London.
His MIC confirms he is entitled to a 1914 star trio, landing in a theatre of war on the 1st November 1914, serving in the 1st battalion D.C.L.I. and the 2nd battalion Dorset Regiment.
Mentioned in Despatched , London Gazette 23rd August 1918 for distinguished and gallant services and devotion to duty.
The received his G.S.M. Palestine whilst serving in the 90th Anti-Aircraft Regiment.
Long Service and Good Conduct 1935. whilst serving in the R.A.S.C.
T.E.M. 1946, whilst serving in an Light Anti-Aircraft battery, Royal Artillery.
He died in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in July 1972.
