Egypt, dated 1882, clasp, Tel-El-Kebir, 2130 Pte H. Seymour 7/Dn Gds
Henry John Seymour was born in Hyke, Kent in 1859.
He enlisted on the 11th March 1879 and served until the 6th May 1891.
He served at home from 8th March 1879 to 4th August 1882, Egypt to 12th March 1883, home to 27th December 1883, India to 1st May 1891, home to 6th May 1891.
His service papers confirm he received this medal and clasp, along with the Khedives Star
Condition – GVF, normal pitting from Khedives Star, naming affected, but still readable.
