Description
Hong Kong Plague Medal – Shropshire Light Infantry.
Hong Kong Plague medal, Private E. Jones, SL.I.
Having done more research we have found 9 E. Jones in the 2nd K.S.L.I. during the Boer War, but of these only 3029 Pte E. Jones and 2692 Pte E Jones were serving in Kong Kong at the time of the plague outbreak.
This medal is listed in “The Whitewash Brigade” as being a known example.
Condition – GVF, some minor edge knocks, otherwise a nice example.
