Robert William Skinner was born in Kentish Town, London in 1874.
He enlisted on the 20th July 1892 and was discharged on the 19th July 1904.
His papers confirm his QSA with clasp, Defence of Ladysmith, and that he was “granted the Kings medal”
Medal rolls confirm the Defence of Ladysmith clasp, but a separate roll shows entitlement to the clasps Orange Free State, South Africa 1901, and South Africa 1902. But no reference has been found of him being issued with the Kings South Africa Medal.
Condition – VF, small edge bruise to obverse at 5-00 o’clock, naming not affected.
