Afghanistan 1878-79-80, 663 Pte J. Tait. 1/5th Fusrs.
James Tait was born in Edinburgh, in 1856.
He enlisted on the 111th August 1876, serving in England to 14th January 1879, India to 29th May 1883, home to 11th October 1888.
His papers confirm this is his only medal
Condition – VF some surface wear.
