Afghanistan 1878-79-80, clasp, Ali Musjid, 1809 Pte J. Wardley, 4th Bn Rifle Bde.
John Wardley was born in Loughborough in 1852. He enlisted on the 13th August 1870.
His service record shows his as absent many times, and he was eventually tried by Court Martial.
This medal and clasp are confirmed on the medal rolls.
He was discharged on the 12th July 1881
Condition – NEF, except for a surface scratch.
